Legend of the Red Thread

There is a Chinese Legend that says, "An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle but it will never break."

Most of you will know that we are planning on adopting a little girl from China. We have been waiting for over two years now. I have recently realized that we still have another 1-2 years to wait due to a slow down in processing in China. This was really hard to accept at first. I believe that God has a specific child in mind for us and we pray for her often. I look forward with great anticipation to the day we meet our Mei Mei (little sister).

Bowling with the little ones

My kids had never been bowling. Their friend Eli had a birthday party at the bowling alley. They had a blast. Cate said she really liked the Diego cupcakes.

Cate would only use the pink ball.

Reed could barely get the ball down the lane.

Hey Y'all!

Well after reading the blogs of my friends and others who inspire me I've finally decided to try one of my own. My friends and family all know that I love to take pictures of my kids so now I'll have somewhere to show them off. I also love telling everyone the cute things that Cate and Reed say and do. We love a good adventure. I plan on using this blog to keep an online journal of the Thompson Turtles. We love camping, exploring, hunting treasure, hanging out with friends and family so I thought I would start with a few favorites from this summer.

Cate & Reed are in my mom's secret garden.

Cate and Reed at my dad's with Reed's first catch.

Cate and some of her cousins get
adventurous at Nanna and Grandpa's.

And finally a picture of the "Thompson Turtle," our camper. Camping with good friends is one of our favorite things to do.
